Place and Space is an experimental format that questions how different materials from various forms of research communicate with each other. How can they highlight their relations in a manner that enriches their trajectories by making similarities and distances more apparent?
In the program Place and Space, the conceptual and practical relationships between research materials are negotiated on a large table during a long-form discussion. Five people from different disciplines engage in a dialogue while standing around a table containing materials from their respected case studies. Participants engage with said materials in relation to one another, bypassing the materials’ haptics or aesthetic qualities and focusing on anchoring each particular research process in a specific place and for a particular reason.
The event will be streamed via The Shape of a Practice online environment: http://shape.anthropocene-curriculum.org
