Field Station 3 | River Blessing
The Native Women’s Care Circle promotes the health and welfare of the Native American community in the St. Louis region. As an inclusive Prayer group, the Care Circle works on issues of environmental and social justice, seed preservation, food sovereignty, and Native solidarity. For over a decade, Circle members have met for a Sunday Water Blessing near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers–where they join other groups up and down the rivers in simultaneous river blessings. For this event, anyone is welcome if they come in a good way to be thankful for our waters.
