Based on the idea of geosemiotics, the third Conversation in this series is titled “Listening to the Earth: the problem of geosemiotics”. It will bring together different perspectives on how the Anthropocene reconfigures established ideas regarding the creation of scientific facts in the Earth Sciences, as well as how our own notions about language and semiotics are reshaped in this context.

The Cosmic Conversation will be held on January 17, live on Associação de Pesquisas e Práticas em Humanidades’s (APPH) Youtube channel, at 9am BRT, 12pm GMT and 1pm CET.

Cosmic Conversations 2022 are produced by the APPH’s Research Group on the Ecology of Practices, in collaboration with the Earth and Us project, and co-convened with the Anthropocene Curriculum.
