John Law was a professor of sociology at Keele University, Lancaster, and the Open University, Milton Keynes, and a co-director of the Economic and Social Research Council’s Centre for Research on Socio-Cultural Change. He is now a professor emeritus at the Open University, honorary professor at the Centre for Science Studies and the Centre for the Study of Environmental Change at Lancaster University, and visiting professor at the Sámi University of Applied Sciences in Guovdageaidnu/Kautokeino, Norway.
