Annu Panwar is doing her Ph.D. at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biogeochemistry, Jena Germany. The objective of her research is to understand land-atmosphere interactions using simple models and meteorological data. For instance, her recent publication shows the differences between surface and air temperature that are usually assumed to have similar information. She developed her interest in the functioning of the Earth system while perusing her bachelor in Geology, Physics, and Mathematics. Her master in the atmosphere and ocean sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, India was focused on air pollution and human activities. Inspired with her diverse experiences in earth science she is enthusiastic to explore and quantify the interactions between human and nature while working with people from the multidisciplinary background.
