Recording of Biophonies without Spring Colloquium: Bird Sampling by artist collective West Coast, a sound installation that was part of the the first Soundscape Campus, at FCT NOVA (School of Science and Technology) in Lisbon, Portugal, October 2017. The recording shows an earlier installment at Residência Atelier Concorde in May 2017.
The device shown includes glass jugs containing natural fluids (honey, molasses, etc.) and bird whistles, and is activated by pressurized air in order to mimic natural random sequences of birds singing.
